Adoption is life-changing

Adopt North East is a partnership of five Local Authorities - Newcastle, Gateshead, North Tyneside, South Tyneside and Northumberland.

We provide adoption services on their behalf, but adopters don’t need to live in one of those areas to adopt with us. We have found hundreds of forever families for children and supported over a thousand adoptive families.

Adoptive parents come from different walks of life. We consider all applications from people aged over 21 and there is no upper age limit. As long as you have the health and vitality to meet the needs of a child into adulthood, you can adopt.
