A Specialist Service for Birth Families

If you are a birth family member of a child who has been adopted or there is a plan of adoption for your child and you live in Gateshead, Newcastle, North Tyneside, Northumberland, or South Tyneside there is specialist support available to you.

In what ways can the Family Connections help me?

Family Connections can offer information, advice, and direct support about the adoption of your child.

• A virtual or face-to-face meeting with a Support Worker

• Advice about your rights as a birth family member

• An in-person Support Group for Birth Parents

• A range of Advice Leaflets

• Signposting to other organisations and resources that may be of help
